Just because you blog doesn't mean that the readers will come. This is one fatal mistake that may newbie bloggers make. They overlook the process and end up abandoning their blogs later.

You need to promote and get the word out. Increase the visibility of your RSS blog and reach people. It is necessary nowadays because your voice is buried deep in the ocean of information. People can't find you unless you make it easy for them to do so.

Blogging is about consistency. You can't blog two posts and leave it for a whole month. Even if you need to take a break, schedule the posts upfront or let others guest blog for you.
