From the field to the scouting department, Studwell had been with the team for 42 years, and had announced just prior to the draft that he was officially retiring from the team.The team honored Studwell on Saturday, and the Vikings were kind enough to give us an inside look at part of Studwell’s final day with the team.It starts with everyone in the War Room wearing shirts honoring Studwell, and Rick Spielman thanking him for his time with the team and declaring that he wants the team to have a “hell of a day” on Studwell’s final day with the team.Studwell is then shown making “the call” to the Vikings’ final pick of his final draft Dan Bailey Jersey , Air Force long snapper Austin Cutting. As the tweet from the team points out, not only was it the final pick of the final draft Studwell would be a part of, but Cutting was selected with the same overall pick, #250, as Studwell was when the Vikings drafted him in 1977.The camera then shows us Bud Grant, who tells the story of how the Vikings came to draft Studwell Tom Compton Jersey , and how the legendary coach came to the conclusion that Studwell was his guy.Kudos to Scott Studwell on an outstanding career with the Minnesota Vikings, and thanks to the Vikings themselves for giving us a look behind the curtain at Studwell’s final day.
